Our Start with Able Ambulance
Dennis Huston and his wife, Jill, have spent their lives serving the Marion, Indiana, community. Jill dedicated over 30 years to Heritage Point as an Admissions and Marketing Coordinator, while Dennis served 25 years as a Marion Police Officer.
During his time in law enforcement, Dennis also worked part-time as a driver for Able Ambulance. It was there that a vision began to take shape—one that once felt out of reach.
In 2015, that vision became reality. Dennis retired from the police department and took a leap of faith, purchasing Able Ambulance. A year later, Jill joined him full-time after her own retirement, bringing her heart for people and years of experience with her.
Today, Able Ambulance is majority-owned by Jill and proudly operates as a certified female-owned business—continuing their shared mission of serving the community they’ve always called home.

A New Chapter: JAK Mobility & Lifts
In January 2024, JAK Mobility & Lifts was founded out of a need for better service. After facing high costs, long wait times, and poor experiences with other providers, we set out to create a faster, more reliable solution for both our company and others in the transportation industry.
As a certified dealer for Braun Corporation, our task is simple: provide exceptional service at a fair price and get vehicles back on the road quickly—because downtime means lost income.
To better serve our clients, we offer both in-shop repairs and mobile fleet services across the state. For fleets of five or more vehicles, we provide onsite annual lift inspections, helping companies stay operational while saving time and labor costs.
Looking ahead, we continue to grow. JAK Mobility is now a dealer for Harmar residential lifts and expanding into installations and repairs for exterior lifts, stair lifts, and residential elevators. We are also becoming a Pride Mobility dealer, offering sales and service for mobility scooters.
